WILBRAHAM — Advisory Board of Health approves prior minutes, hosts presentations from youth coalition and regional health director. Jackie Hafner, Community Engagement/Communications Coordinator for the Hampden-Wilbraham Partners for Youth Coalition, described substance-use prevention work and identified sustainability needs as grant funding ends; Ryan Paxton, Health Director of Eastern Hampden Shared Public Health Services, reported increased output under his leadership since December and identified the need for another health agent. The Board discussed opioid settlement funds with a current balance of approximately $35,000, with Paxton suggesting community surveys, ranked interventions, and support for individuals in treatment.

Chief Lennon noted that sanitary code violations are expected to increase with spring and recommended updates to staff and the permit application process.
