Advisory Board of Health backs tobacco permit for Rooster's, favors plastic bag ban

WILBRAHAM — Advisory Board of Health unanimously backs tobacco permit for Rooster's Chicken and Waffles. The board voted 6-0 to recommend that the Boston Road restaurant be allowed to acquire a tobacco sales permit provided it complies with all town tobacco regulations and sanitary restaurant codes. Under Wilbraham's 2018 tobacco regulations, the town maintains a cap of 14 active permits.
The board also expressed support for a plastic bag ban by-law to be presented at town meeting, favoring language versions adopted by Longmeadow and Springfield.
