Wilbraham Cemetery Commission approves investment modernization for perpetual care. Commissioners Walker Eaton and Todd Michael Magill voted unanimously to authorize Town Treasurer Barbara Hancock to convert the Cemetery's individual stock-certificate Bliss Funds, dating to the 1950s, into professionally managed investment accounts with Bartholomew & Company, incorporated into the Town's portfolio under the Massachusetts Prudent Investor Rule. The conversion will enable monthly reporting to the Commission and improve investment diversification.
The Commission also addressed declining cemetery mowing quality, with Commissioner Eaton to follow up with the Town Administrator.
