Finance Committee approves $10,000 reserve fund transfer for Memorial School.

Finance Committee · Meeting of March 4, 2026

WILBRAHAM — Finance Committee approves $10,000 reserve fund transfer for Memorial School operational expenses. After an amended motion by Committee member Jeff Farnsworth reduced Facilities Director Sam Boyd's original $15,000 request, the Committee voted 4-3 to approve the cut, then unanimously endorsed the $10,000 transfer. The decision came following discussion about unexpected repairs that depleted Memorial's budget.

Capital projects likely to advance for funding include the Stony Hill Road/Springfield Street intersection sidewalk ($483,000 net after two grants totaling $1.017 million), additional Stony Hill sidewalks ($600,000), and an array of smaller initiatives totaling approximately $2.5 million. The Highland Water Resources and School District's current Wilbraham assessment stands at $3.1 million, down roughly $60,000.
