WILBRAHAM — Historical Commission hears cemetery nominations and parking opposition. Historian Dave Bourcier presented nominations of four town cemeteries--Adams, East Wilbraham, Woodland Dell, and Glendale--to the National Register of Historic Places, endorsed by Cemetery Commission chair Natashia Ayers and Woodland Dell Cemetery Commission President Scott Clarke. Bourcier also proposed a bronze plaque for the Merrick family at Adams Cemetery's Vault House and requested an Old Stone Bridge sign on Boston Road.
Residents organized by Holly Murray opposed an Economic Development Council proposal to add 30 parking spaces to Crane Park, citing negative impact on green space and historical character; they asked the commission for support in preventing the expansion.
