WILBRAHAM — Library Board approves director's Legislative Day attendance with professional development funds. Director Melissa Harter will use the board's training line item to cover the $175 registration fee for the February 25–26 conference in Boston, where she will attend networking sessions and congressional staff meetings. The board also discussed the Placemaker Grant, which opens for applications at month's end with two funding levels ($3,000 and $7,500), and asked trustees to propose project concepts for next month's meeting.
Library Assistant Erica Richardi, holding a master's degree in library science, has begun work and is in training. The Friends of the Library reported planning a May 5–9 book sale and are actively seeking a new chair.
