Open Space Committee seeks volunteers to fill leadership roles

Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee · Meeting of March 31, 2026

WILBRAHAM — Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee requests volunteer leadership. Twelve members convened at Town Hall on March 31 and approved prior minutes unanimously, then heard from Joe Calabrese that the panel lacks a chair and needs volunteers to manage meeting setup, agenda preparation, Facebook updates, and Action Plan monitoring. Len Surdyka volunteered to archive documents and Bill Michels will set up a shared Google Drive.

The committee is advancing trail map printing, hosting a Nipmuc Tribe cedar-sapling collection April 7 at White Cedar Swamp, and coordinating three student groups for May cleanup projects on Easy, Sawmill, and Thayer Brook trails.
