WILBRAHAM — Select Board hires firefighter John Monty and advances plastic bag regulations. The board unanimously approved Monty's hire contingent on background check, CORI check, physical agility test, and pre-employment physical, with Fire Chief Andrews recommending the candidate. Town Administrator Nick Breault presented the FY27 budget proposal including four new firefighter/EMT positions and a 5 percent increase for the Hadley-Wilbraham Regional School District.
The board voted 2-1 to approve a tobacco license for Khan Restaurant Group LLC dba Rooster's Chicken & Waffles at 2341 Boston Road and 2-1 to direct the Board of Health to develop plastic bag residential and commercial use regulations.
